Fetch Heavy builds simple tools for ocean athletes — Windstation and Open Ocean Tracker. We believe privacy is a fundamental right. None of our apps collect, store, or transmit personal data.
Fetch Heavy apps do not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. No account creation is required. No location data is sent to our servers. No analytics, crash reporting, or advertising SDKs are included in any of our apps.
The app fetches live wind data directly from Windguru's public API using the station ID you provide. This request is made from your device directly to Windguru's servers. Fetch Heavy has no access to this data and does not store it.
GPS tracking data is stored locally on your device. If you use the Live Beacon feature, your session data (position, speed, time) is transmitted to Fetch Heavy's server solely for the purpose of sharing your location with people you choose. Beacon data automatically expires 1 hour after your session ends. You can end a session at any time.
Your settings, favorite stations, and saved routes are stored locally on your device using Apple's UserDefaults and SwiftData. They never leave your device except when you explicitly share a beacon link.
Open Ocean Tracker can read heart rate data from Apple Health to include in your session stats. This data is used exclusively on-device and is never transmitted. You control this permission in your iPhone's Health settings.
Windstation communicates with Windguru.cz to fetch weather data. Open Ocean Tracker uses Apple's MapKit for map display. No analytics, crash reporting, or advertising SDKs are included in any app.
